Renaissance architecture, gelato and a constant search of parks sums up my visit to Florence, Italy. Living in a florentine apartment in a quiet part of the city - not far from the center, made this adventure even better and more unique. Before my friend and I landed we already had a few activities planned, thanks to Mie who lived there for a year. This column is dedicated to exploring cities around the world, with a focus on art, plant based food and lots of adventures. This is how I spent 10 days in Florence with a friend.

FAVORITE SPOTS TO EAT

➖ For dinner: Universo Vegano: A small vegan restaurant which offers Italian style vegan food, great staff and great location.

➖ For breakfast/ brunch: We decided to save money and buy avocado and bread for breakfast. One of the best things ways to start of the day.

➖For coffee: Todo Modo (Via dei Fossi, 15): A small café tucked away in a bookshop.

Museums

One of the biggest tips I can give you in regards to visiting museums in Florence, is to book early or get in line even before it officially opens. If this does not happen you are at risk of waiting in line for hours on end, and wasting precious hours in a city with much more to offer. So, in other words- plan ahead!

➖Uffizi: If “The birth og Venus” and Paintings of Medusa is on your list than this is a must to visit whilst in Florence.

➖Galleria dell'Accademia: Admire Michelangelo's David and get lost in the extensive collection of 15th- and 16th-century paintings.
