Recipe: The best pizza ever
There is something so rewarding about making your own pizza from scratch. If you wanted to go all out and become the wholesome queen, you could make your own pizza sauce and cashew cheese too! If you are aiming to become a healthy vegan (not living off oreos and hot chips) then you are essentially detoxifying your body. With this comes cleansing, not just of the body, but of the mind too... just as you do when you embark on a raw food diet or juice cleanse, you will often become irritable, grumpy and sad. This is because you are cleansing the stored emotions being held in your body. So go easy on yourself!
If you want to more recipes and help going vegan, my ebook, The Vaguen, is chocka full of support and love for you, offering guidance and self-help as well as delicious recipes. This book is made in recognition and support of how hard it can be to go vegan, when raised in a society that shapes us into animal product addicts from the day we are born. It contains recipes that are “vaguely vegan”, hence “The Vaguen”.
Enjoy, and let this recipe help you along the way x
△
1 1⁄2 tsps active dry yeast 1 tsp sugar
1⁄4 cup lukewarm water 1⁄4 cup flour
Another 1 and 3⁄4 cup flour
3⁄4 tsp salt
3 tbsp olive oil
1⁄2 cup water
Pizza toppings of your choice :)

To begin, put your yeast, sugar, luke-warm water and your 1⁄4 cup flour into a large bowl. Combine together with your hands. Leave this to sit for 10 min-utes. Next, add your 1 and 3⁄4 cup flour, salt, olive oil and 1⁄2 cup water and mix well. Once combined, turn the dough out onto your work surface and knead for 10 minutes until elastic and smooth. Pop your dough into an oiled bowl and coat with even MORE olive oil. Cover with a tea towel and pop in a warm place. Leave the dough to rise for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size. Now you can press it out onto a tray lined with baking paper. Coat with a little bit more olive oil. Now top with whatever you desire! I love putting on some classic tomato sauce, vegan cheese, olives, onion, mushrooms, spinach, jalapenos and cashews!
